Psychological Assessments
We are Changing the face of Clinical Assessments
Psychological assessments and testing serve a variety of purposes, including intervention, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
About Us
Its when brilliant minds collide, brilliance is born. That is exactly what happened when two seasoned professionals decide to take matters into their own hands.
Clinical Counsellor Travis Ford from The Catharsis Society and Psychologist Zac Chadwick from the Life Bridge Network joined forces to create a unique and innovative approach to Clinical Assessments. Together, they have developed a practice that combines the best of talk therapy and behavioural analysis to help individuals find the correct diagnosis.
Travis and Zac continue to collaborate and innovate, always striving to improve their practices and help more people heal. They are an inspiration to many in the therapy community and beyond.
Why are Psychological Assessments Performed?
Psychological Assessments are useful tools that assist in providing information for a wide range of issues.
These include:
What Makes our Assessments so Different?
Our team have a philosophy of working with the whole person, We don’t stop at the diagnosis – this is only the first step.
We provide comprehensive reports and feedback that explains the testing, why we are testing, what the results reveal about the person, and how we can help you or your child with ongoing treatment and therapy.
We understand that a diagnosis can be overwhelming and confusing, which is why we strive to provide clear and concise information that empowers our clients to make informed decisions about their health. Our team is made up of highly trained professionals who are dedicated to providing personalised care that addresses the unique needs of each individual.
We believe that every person is different and therefore requires a tailored approach to treatment. Our team works closely with each client to develop a treatment plan that is specifically designed to meet their needs and help them achieve their goals.
Whether you are seeking testing, therapy, or ongoing support, our team is here to help. We are passionate about what we do and are committed to helping our clients achieve their full potential.
What Services do we Provide?
Pschological adhd assessments
One of the most important tools for diagnosing ADHD is psychological testing, which involves a comprehensive evaluation of a person’s cognitive, behavioural, and emotional functioning.
Psychological testing for ADHD typically includes multiple methods, such as clinical interviews, rating scales, behavioural observations, and neuropsychological tests.
functional capacity assessments
A psychosocial functional capacity assessment, while not mandatory, is an important aspect of the NDIS.
Combining psychometric testing and interviewing techniques to gather information, the FCA provides an understanding of how an individual with disability functions in day-to-day activities, suggesting supports to promote independence in achieving their goals.
trauma informed stress assessments
We understand the complexities that surround the process of assessing an individuals presenting symptoms. We implement trauma informed practice when conducting our assessments.
In our profession we hear too often stories of individuals being “re-traumatised” while undergoing assessment and diagnosis for stress disorders like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
